Our latest work, titled “Solving the Equity-Aware Dial-a-Ride Problem using a Branch-Cut-and-Price Algorithm ”, has been acccepted for publication in Transportation Research Part B: Methodological.
In this study, we developed a new BPC algorithm that can be applied to solve a range of min-max DARP problem, and we demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm for solving equity-oriented passenegr transportation applications.

Mobi-X lab has 7 papers accepted for presentation at the upcoming 2025 Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting.
I had the honor to deliver a talk on informing charging infrastructure decisions from human mobility data at the 2nd U.S.-Japan Exchange Program for Green Growth Collaboration through Clean Energy Technologies, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
My Ph.D. student Hossein Gazmeh also delivered a poster presentation that revealed the social segregation issues caused by existing charging infrastructure.
Mobi-X lab received a $3 million award from USDOE ($800k Rice share) for developing and piloting community-driven mobility solutions.
